Sean Garinger, 20 years old, died in his hometown, Boone, in North Carolina (USA), after a strange accident involving an ATV.
The reality star 16 and Pregnant, from MTV, was the father of two daughters he had with his ex-girlfriend Selena Gutierrez. To The US Sun, Mary Hobbs, Garinger’s mother, recounted what happened on the day of the accident, last Wednesday (28).
“I was with him when this happened. He was just moving [the ATV] from one spot to another for me, so I could park again. He stopped in front of me to park the ATV, and the ground gave way with all the rain and mud,” she said.
According to her, it was at that moment that the ATV overturned and “crushed” her son’s skull. “I ran to the neighbors trying to get someone to help me get the ATV off him. No one answered. I ran back to him […] and realized he was no longer alive.”
Hobbs said she lay next to him until the ambulance arrived. “A big part of my heart died with my son on Wednesday. He was my only son, my rock, my strength when I had nothing else,” she lamented.
In addition to his daughters, Dareli and Esmi, and his mother, Garinger also leaves behind his sisters, Shania, Lydia, Isabella, Ember, Kayden, and Casslyn. A religious service in honor of his life was held on March 2.
